Bun'd Up, located in Arlington, VA, is a culinary gem that's capturing the hearts and taste buds of many. With a menu that revolves around delightful bao buns, customers rave about the sheer freshness and bold flavors that define each dish. Eric L. highlights the amazing dough and the vibrant taste that compels you to order one of everything, while Christine Wei emphasizes the standout braised pork belly paired perfectly with sweet pineapple—a true chef’s kiss!
The restaurant ambiance contributes to a great dining experience, complete with eye-catching neon decorations. Suzanne W. supports this vibe, noting that even the offerings at the Reston Farmers' Market deliver satisfaction, particularly the beloved pork belly. However, not all experiences have been stellar; Sofi Wallace's unfortunate encounter with unhelpful staff hints at a need for improvement in service. Richard Nelson also faced a mix-up with his online order, suggesting that ordering in-person might be wiser next time.
Overall, Bun'd Up stands out for its delectable food that has customers coming back for more, despite occasional service hiccups. This eatery is undoubtedly worth a visit for any food lover seeking authentic flavors in a warm, inviting setting.

The dough is amazing. Food is prepared with the freshest ingredients and the taste is amazing. Sweet little spot to get a quick bite that will make you want to order everything on the menu. My wife got the rice bowl and couldn't stop raving about how much flavor the food has.

Great food! They have a spot at Reston Farmers market, so I can't comment on their service or restaurant. But the options at the weekly market are definitely worth it. Pork belly is my favorite

I came with a friend and the baos were good! The best one by far is the braised pork belly. Something about the savory meat paired with the juicy, sweet pineapple is chef’s kiss Their Brussels sprouts and cucumber salads are both delicious as well. The nuggets are okay, and the wings are incredible. What an amazing, unforgettable meal. Also, the neon signs decorating the restaurant were really cool. Altogether, the vibes were pretty great.

Yesterday Tuesday I went to pick up an order I had made online, when I arrived there was no one serving me, despite saying hello many times no one came out, so I wanted to go to the dining room next door, thinking that maybe someone would come out of the kitchen. When I entered I found a girl hiding under the main counter, I found her sitting and using her phone, I found the customer service they give so unpleasant. Because even though she heard me she didn't come out to serve me or anything. When she saw me she was surprised and just said are you looking for something and didn't apologize, I took my order and left. I don't know why they put that kind of people to serve me, they should change staff if they really care. The food was good as always, no complaints about that.

So overall we got 3 variations of the 3 for 13 buns. Ordering online its 15 for some reason. Fortunately it was really good so I am not upset. We sat outside in the shopping area and got our food right before close. But I really enjoyed the beef bulgogi, fried shrimp, and spicy fried chicken buns. I will definitely return. The only issue we had was we ordered fried chicken online and got just plain fried chicken. But in the picture the fried chicken looked like korean fried chicken with this dark sauce on the chicken that we didn't get. We were craving that kind of chicken and didn't get it and I don't know where the mix up came from. Maybe because we ordered online right before close. Next time we going in person to get that right and get cheaper buns.

I ordered the 3 for 13 - fried chicken, fried shrimp and pork belly. The fried shrimp was my favorite, it had a nice crunch on the breading and good balance of sauce. The fried chicken, I was looking for my sauce. The bun had some brown sauce soaked on it so maybe that was the sauce? But it wasn’t enough of it, just tasted like fried chicken. The bun itself was fluffy and delicious.

If you have trouble making up your mind, you can choose three different buns for 13. My favorite was the Bulgogi, followed by the Fried Shrimp and then the Spicy Fried Chicken. Next time I'll probably try a Bulgogi Bowl. A nice place for a quick meal while shopping.

I went with the host's recommendation on the mushroom bao bun. She told me they're made-to-order and fresh, and it didn't disappoint. The atmosphere was great, as well. Offers outdoor seating. I already want to return!
